Child abuse survivors live in fear of being hurt like the child they were, without the advantage of realizing they are an adult that someone cannot control or abuse anymore. But when a trigger happens and it reminds them of the childhood abuse the only way to feel in control is to fight any way they can. This is usually in the form of anger for any reason and against the nearest person. Most of the time it is their own children or a loved one they would never hurt in a different situation.
